Contemplative Prayer 2016

Meets: 2nd Tuesday of each month at 11 am and on the 4th Thursday at 8 pm in St Martin's

The aim of the Group is to teach and to practise 'listening prayer'. The method used is that set out by the Fellowship of Contemplative Prayer. The meetings are almost always in the Church itself. Anyone who would like an hour or so of led meditation or contemplation and silence based on one of the sayings of God from the Old Testament or one of Jesus in the New Testament is very welcome.

Tuesday January 9th at 11 am and Thursday January 25th at 8 pm

Our starting point for the New Year will be from Isaiah 45.2: 'I will go before you and make the crooked places straight.'

Tuesday February 13th at 11 am and Thursday February 22nd at 8 pm

A good saying from the Old Testament to take us into the beginning of Lent will be that chosen for this month: Joel 2.12: 'Even now ... return to me with all your heart.'

At Wychcroft - Friday 6th April - Sunday 8th April, 2018
