St Martin’s Church has long been a place of worship, reflection, and community at the heart of Epsom. As we look to the future, Project 200 is a visionary initiative aimed at ensuring our church remains a vibrant, accessible, and sustainable space – ready to serve the needs of the community for the next 200 years.

The first phase of Project 200 focuses on transforming the Lady Chapel into a warm and welcoming environment that can be used year-round. This will involve thermally insulating the space by installing glass in the existing wall openings, significantly improving its comfort and energy efficiency. These enhancements will allow the chapel to be used more frequently for prayer, small services, and quiet reflection, as well as offering a more flexible and inviting space for community activities.

Following this initial work, we plan to consult widely with the congregation and the wider community to gather ideas and suggestions on how we can further improve the church’s facilities – ensuring they are inclusive, modern, and fit for purpose.

To begin this exciting journey, we are launching Stage 1 of our fundraising campaign, with a target of £15,000. This will fund the improvements to the Lady Chapel and set the stage for the wider transformation to come.

Project 200 is about more than preserving a historic building – it’s about creating a legacy of faith, hospitality, and community for generations to come. We invite you to join us in making this vision a reality.
