The PCC of the Parish of St Martin of Tours with St Stephen-on-the‑Downs plays a vital role in supporting the full mission of the Church – overseeing pastoral, evangelistic, social, and ecumenical work across Epsom. It acts as both the governing body for church affairs and a registered charity (No. 1134149), ensuring that worship, outreach, building maintenance, and community engagement are managed with care, compassion, and stewardship.
The PCC provides leadership through regular full-PCC meetings and sub-committees including Fabric, Mission & Outreach, Discipleship & Fellowship, Standing & Finance, and works actively between meetings via the Standing Committee. It ensures that St Martin’s continues to be a thriving centre for worship, community, outreach, and stewardship in Epsom – maintaining its historic building, welcoming families, supporting children’s and youth groups, and advancing key initiatives like solar installation and building repairs – all while safeguarding its financial and charitable integrity.
